Alina Nenasheva
Piano & Composition
New York-based composer and performer, Alina Nenasheva creates music that blends the grandeur of symphonic orchestration with the intimacy of chamber music and the modern energy of electronic sounds.
She began composing music at the age of five, developing her own melodies alongside her classical piano studies. Trained in classical piano performance, she studied at the Khabarovsk State Regional College of Arts and later at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she deepened her artistic foundation. Among her teachers were renowned pianists Alexei Nasedkin and Eliso Virsaladze, whose artistry and musical insight
enriched her development.
Her musical influences span centuries, from Bach, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Brahms and Stravinsky to the freedom and diversity of American music. After moving to the United States, she developed her own approach to film scoring and composition, shaping a distinct and evolving musical voice. As a film composer, Alina brings stories to life through sound, creating music that connects deeply with audiences. She has worked on short films, off Broadway productions, and independent projects, collaborating with directors and artists to shape the emotions and atmosphere of each piece.
In the concert world, Alina has performed her own compositions alongside international competition winners and chamber ensembles across Austria, Malta, France, Russia, and the United States. Her music includes solo piano pieces, chamber works, and orchestral compositions, each created with a strong sense of emotion and storytelling.
Alongside her creative work, Alina is a dedicated educator with nearly two decades of experience, helping young musicians grow and find their own voices. She is a proud member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) and the Alliance for Women Film Composers, continuously contributing to today’s music scene.
