Faculty Coordinator & Choir Program Director

Savannah McElhaney is a classically trained soprano and a member of Actors’ Equity Association, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Mannes School of Music at The New School and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University.

As a performer, Savannah has worked extensively in both classical and musical theater repertoire. Her performance credits include work with Pittsburgh CLO, Kansas City Starlight, On Site Opera, New York Lyric Opera, and Peabody Opera, as well as performances at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

As an educator, Savannah teaches that vocal technique, musicality, and performance go hand in hand. She approaches the voice as an extension of the whole body, helping students develop a strong understanding of their instrument while cultivating confidence, artistry, and expressive freedom.

At the Bronx School for Music, Savannah teaches private voice, choir and ear training, while also serving as Faculty Coordinator. She is passionate about helping students develop their unique voices and become well-rounded, confident musicians and performers.
